Press kit.

Capital Sticks is a paper-cutout political satire where both parties, the press and the lobbyists all get roasted, and the intern is the only sane person in Washington.

The show

Capital Sticks is an animated comedy told with handmade paper-cutout stick figures on papercraft dioramas of Washington, D.C. A deadpan narrator covers the capital like a wildlife documentary and its politicians like a strange, fascinating species. Every episode takes a real story from the last few years and pushes it one step further into absurdity. Both parties, cable news, lobbyists, Hollywood and pro athletes all take hits. Episodes run about twelve minutes, with two fake commercials each. Season 1 was printer paper. Season 2 is cardstock.

About Gary

Gary Cutler created Capital Sticks at a kitchen table with printer paper, a glue stick and an opinion about everyone. He writes it, cuts it, and plays Gary the Intern, the only person in Washington who reads the bill. He keeps a running count of who gets roasted, because somebody has to. He answers his own email. Nobody else applied.
