Casting notes
Gary is the only one who plays himself. Gary created the show, writes it, produces it, and stars in it as the intern, the only sane person in Washington. Nobody else applied. It’s Gary’s world.
Also appearing: The Narrator, a calm and devastatingly dry voice who observes Washington like a nature documentary. He declined to be cut out. He prefers to remain offscreen, judging.
